The Carana Chronicles

Ark II

Ruler of the Frostmourne

Part XI

Attack of the Jellyfloosh

Carana and the others sailed on in the crude ship, now with the land far out of view. He stood on the bow of the ship, leaning out over the water, when a tentacle ripped up from underneath of him, and grabbed him, bringing him skyward. He dropped his staff onto the deck, and pushed at the coiling tentacle, easily sixty feet long, until he reached his scabbard.

From it he unsheathed his sword, and brought the steel blade to bare against the oily tentacled beast. He cut into it's thick, blubbery hide, and it dropped him. Falling twenty feet, ducked, and rolled on the deck. Hopping up, he backed away from the side, now back to back with Bralyonis and Thrall.

Six tentacles came up from the water, and all flew at the outnumbered heroes. Carana brought his sword in a full circular sweep in front of him, allowing it to work as a shield of steel, while with his other hand, he scooped the air, which then turned into fire. He threw the flames at the tentacles, and managed to score a hit against them. They retreated, charred and withered from the heat.

Bralyonis brought his katana and his axe around to bear. Despite them both being two handed weapons, his massive strength allowed him to wield them both. Tentacle attacks bounced off of his plate armor as he hacked and slashed away at the creature before him. One tentacle lashed around and disarmed him, and his Katana went flying. The same tentacle quickly came at him, but froze as he opened his palm and the power's of death itself chilled it. He then shattered the frozen tentacle with one mighty swing.

Thrall brought his mace around multiple times, each one resulting in a resounding victory. But it seemed that each time one tentacle retreated, another came out of hiding. "How many are there?" He wondered. As if to answer his question, twenty more tentacle rose from the depths. Thrall cursed his luck.

The Carana Chronicles
Ark II
Ruler of the Frostmourne
Part X
Attack of the Jellyfloosh!

The next day, the four set out. Carana ran down to the coast near the rocky crags where Bralyonis was finishing work on the boat. Behind him Thrall slowly walked, speaking with his advisors. Aimelina was to remain behind and assist with relief for anyone remaining in Theramore.

Thrall approached Carana, "I hope this trip to Stormwind is worthwhile. We leave ourselves exposed while we are on the ship."

"This trip should work. Varian Wrynn will be suprised, there is no doubt. But he fails to see that we need to work together." Carana studied the skies.

"Last time I spoke with Varian he tried to kill me." Thrall replied with a snarl, revealing a scar going through his mouth.

"Then, this should be interesting." Carana replied as Bralyonis jumped off the edge of the boat and walked over to the duo.

"We should be ready to leave." He stated, "I just finished speaking with the captain, and he says that we can get on whenever we want."

"That what are we waiting for." Thrall walked up, and clambered up onto the galleon using its ladder. He was followed by Carana and Bralyonis. As the ship left, ripples formed underneath of it, and something stirred, and followed the ship.

The Carana Chronicles

Ark II

Ruler of the Frostmourne

Chapter IX
A Gathering of Sorts
Carana, Thrall, and the four orc bodyguards surrounding him advanced onto the parapet of Ogrimmar. Advancing to the ridge, they came upon the view of a heavily armored human. He carried a long sword that glowed red upon his back. His armor was in a ragged state, and the man seemed to be living on lost time. Upon further inspection, Carana noticed that the man's eyes glowed a bright blue.
"What is it that you desire human!" Thrall spoke, his thundering voice booming across the desert. "I have no desire to destroy you, but the past unanswered questions have angered me. Now tell me, what do you desire, or my armies shall obliterate you!"
At that the man stepped backwards slightly, his hand came to rest on the hilt of his sword on his back, but he kept his steady composure and bellowed back in a metallic voice, "I, your highness, am Bralyonis, Knight of the Ebon Blade. I wish to speak with you, Great Warchief Thrall."
Thrall rubbed his hand upon his chin and thought for a moment, before replying, "What is the Ebon Blade, Bralyonis. And what do you wish to speak of?"
"The Knights of the Ebon Blade is a group of renegade death knights, former servants of the Lich King Arthas. Now we have broken free from his grasp, to join the Alliance and the Horde in their efforts against the coward!" Bralyonis answered, and at this remark, Thrall seemed to be caught unaware at this answer, and frowned for a moment. "I wish to speak of a summons from the Archmage Jaina Proudmoore, who now resides in the human city of Stormwind."
"Very well." Thrall spoke at last, waiting long for thought, "I shall take answer the call, and travel to Stormwind."
At this moment, Thrall, Carana, and the four guards filed into order. Thrall looked over at Carana, "You and your friend out there are coming with me."

Ruler of the Frostmourne
Chapter VIII
Durotar
Carana's eyes slowly opened, and into view came an armor plated hand, he slowly raised his head, and an orcs face came into view. He realized he was being held up by two orc warriors, in front of a third orc. He recognized him, as the leader of the Horde, Thrall.
"Who are you?" Thrall asked Carana gruffly.
"My name is Carana." Carana answered, getting ready to cast a spell if needed. "What do you want?"
"We want your aid against the Lich King. What would you expect." Thrall answered.
"And why should I help you?" Carana asked.
Thrall grinned, "Ever heard of a bargaining chip?" He clapped his hands, and two more orcs brought out another man. He was thrown to the ground, and Thrall put his boot on the mans back. "This man claims to be the brother of a Carana. Is he not?"
Carana sighed, "Aimelina."
"Sorry brother." The man grunted.
"So, will you help?" Thrall asked again.
"Let me think." Replied Carana. There had to be a way out of this...
Just before Carana was about to answer, a guard came into the room, and bowed before Thrall.
"High Warchief sir, some human has gone about the city asking for a talk with this Carana. We tried to stop him, but he kills of the guards with proficiency we have only seen in one human."
Thrall sighed, "Is it that Death Knight again." Thrall turned to Carana, "Why don't we have a chat with him."

World of Warcraft
The Carana Chronicles
Ark II
Ruler of the Frostmourne
Chapter VII
The Lich King
Carana gulped again as the Lich King stood above him, silent and aparently unnoticing. The Lich King then looked down, and noticed Carana.
"Move out of my way or I will kill you." The Lich King growled, his voice gravely.
"No." Carana answered.
"You will pay for your treason!" The Lich King roared, attacking with the Frostmourne in a downward slash. Carana brought up his staff, and blocked the attack. Shoving back the Lich King, he groaned as his muscles ached.
The Lich King roared again, and brought his helmet down, and charged Carana, meaning to ram him with the crowns spikes. But Carana lept up, and grabbed ahold of one of the spikes. "Going down?" He snickered, and wrenched the Lich King off his feet. But the Lich King had expected this, rolling and throwing Carana off of him.
Carana fell back ten meters, crashing into a statue of a lion. He groaned, and struggled upward as the Lich King went onward. Groaning, Carana bounded forward cutting off the Lich King. Finding a discarded sword and pulled it up between him and the Lich King. The Lich King groaned, and lunged at Carana, pushing him away.
Carana fell to the ground, but he rolled, and raised his hand. A bolt of pure shadow jumped out of his hand, and sped toward the Lich King, blasting his armor in the back. He turned, and intoned, "Freeze."
Ice crept up Carana, and as the ice came over his entire body, the horizon glinted gold, and his body began to try to generate heat. Trying out a new spell he yelled, "Dumanare, kalbadore.” He heard someone cry in a metallic voice, "No!" And the world was gone, replaced with red and yellow. Then he saw no more.

Since no one has any questions, I will just simply make some things clear before we begin:
1. Naga are creepy snake people. They have snake tails, then human bodies.

2. Theramore is a big city on the western continent of Kalimdor. It is situated a few miles below the orc capitol Ogrimmar.

3. The Scourge is a bunch of evil zombies from the continent Northrend that are here to destroy us and eat our brains. Their leader is the Lich King, how used to be a good guy before he found this cool sword that ate his soul. Then he found some cool armor, which merged his soul with an Orc Shaman, Nezhul's. No he's bent on killing everyone in the world.
Next time-
The adventure continues.

The Carana Chronicles

Ark II

Ruler of the Frostmourne

Chapter VI

Carana rushed down the wizard’s tower as the scourge began to invade Theramore. Pulling out his staff he leaped the last ten feet, and rolled to his feet, sprinting out of towards the town gates. He ran forward as a skeleton lunged at, and he brought up his staff, blocking the sword, and brought up his hand and ignited the skeleton with his demonic powers. The skeleton ran away until it was simply charred up. As he continued, an alarm ran through the city.

The guards ran down from the walls as a wave of undead flesh carried itself into the city. The archers tried to shoot the zombies, but none of the shots seemed to make their mark. Carana looked up, and saw a shadowy figure flying down towards the tower on a skeletal dragon.

Carana ran back up towards the tower, and approached the figure as he stepped of the dragon. The man wore plated armor in all places, and wore a helm with spikes heading up. He was nine feet tall, and held a sword in his hand. Carana gulped audibly. He knew who this man was. Quivering in fear, Carana prepared himself in front of the Lich King.

The Carana Chronicles

Ark II

The Ruler of the Frostmourne

Chapter V

How the Others Live

Part III

Bralyonis waited patiently on the barge, sharpening his Katana with a whetstone. After finishing sharpening it, he pulled out flax seed oil, and used that to polish the sword. Only after he could easily see his reflection spotless on the blade did he cease the process. As he finished, Bralyonis pulled out a rope he had saved, and tied it to two poles, swinging the Katana down, he easily cut the rope straight down the middle. Satisfied, he sheathed his sword, and began to work on his armor. After the battle of the Light’s Chapel and the retaking of the Ebon Hold his armor was barely usable. He sighed, and got to work.

Four hours later, Bralyonis finished, which was lucky, because the ship was closing into Theramore port. Bralyonis immediately realized something was wrong. Most of the citizens were gathered at the docks, and the rest of the city was in ruins. As the boat came in to port, all of the citizens swarmed towards the ship, and Bralyonis struggled to push his way off the ship.

As he finally got off, he heard someone yell, “Dumanare, kalbadore.” He recognized it as a spell, and a deadly one.

“No!” Shouted out Bralyonis, and he ran out to stop the incantation, but he was too late, and he watched in horror as the world went up in flames.

World of Warcraft

The Carana Chronicles

Ark II

The Ruler of the Frostmourne

Chapter IV

How the Others Live

Part II

Aimelina rushed down the sandy beaches of Ashazara, flinging bolts of arcane shadow upon the naga following him. After escaping from two years of imprisonment. Two years of being away from his family. During that time he had wondered how his family would survive. His father owned the Lion’s Pride Inn, but it wasn’t getting any good business recently. That would leave his little brother Carana up to supporting the family. He stopped thinking about them now, as Aimelina glanced worriedly behind him. He was nearing the border of Durotar and Ashazara, and the naga slithering behind him were making sure he wouldn’t escape. Aimelina ducked as a spear went over his head. He jumped over another obstacle, and sent a bolt of pure darkness flying towards the naga.

He thought back to his family as he saw the cliff separating Ashazara and Durotar a few hundred meters away from him. He had one other brother, Savrola, but he had left the family to crusade against evil. And Carana was far to daydreaming. He had always wanted to become a warlock like Aimelina, and to go off on adventures. With any luck, he had taken Aimelina’s advice to stay at home and help with the inn. Of course, knowing how he had said it, Carana probably went off anyway to show off to him. Or maybe, Aimelina thought, he hates me for the last thing I ever said to him before leaving home.

Aimelina brought himself back into his senses as he approached the border of Durotar and Ashazara. As he thought of a way across, he saw a part of the world, twenty miles away, ignite with hellfire. Shocked by this, Aimelina didn’t think about his situation until a spear landed its mark. Aimelina felt his body shut down as he hurtled across the landscape, and as more projectiles found their marks, his last conscious thought before he tumbled off the cliff was, Carana, I’m sorry. Then the world tilted downward, he felt himself fall, and all went black.

World of Warcraft
The Carana Chronicles
Ark II
Ruler of the Frostmourne
Part III
How the Other Ones Live
Part I
Braylonis strode down the haunted halls of Acherus: The Ebon Hold. With the foul undead scourge finally driven out of its hallowed halls, the Knights of the Ebon Blade could finally rest again. He sighed, taking in account the past few weeks. After the Scourge sent him and 999 undead, led by Highlord Darion Mograine to destroy the Lights Hope Chapel, the 300 defenders of the Chapel defeated the forces of the scourge there, where High Priest Tirion Fordring showed Morgraine the truth of the world. The Lich King attacked, and Morgraine savagely attacked his former master. The Lich King bested him, and proclaimed how the lives of the 1,000 undead were worthless. Morgraine gave Tirion his sword, the Ashbringer, and Tirion beat back the Lich King. The Knights of the Ebon Blade were then born.
Over the past few weeks the Knights of the Ebon Blade retook the floating necropolis of Acherus, and renamed it Acherus: The Ebon Hold. Now that the task was finally done, the Knights of the Ebon Blade could extend friendly relations to the Alliance and the Horde.
Bralyonis walked over to a rune-forge, and inscribed his Katana with the rune of Lichbane. As soon as the rune was set in, the sword lit into holy fire, which he mentally supressed, until the only sign of it was an orange glow along the blade. He sheathed the sword in its scabbard as Darion Morgraine approached him. Bralyonis bowed low and long to his superior, before rising again.
"Bralyonis, as you now know, we have succesfully cleared Acherus. Now it is time to join the Alliance and the Horde. I want you to take this letter to King Varian Wrynn at Stormwind." With that he gave a letter to Bralyonis. There are portals over there." Morgraine pointed to the observation deck across from the forges.
Bralyonis strode over to the observation decks, and stepped through the portal to Stromwind.
Time to meet the king. Bralyonis thought as he was whisked through seemingly never ending time and space.

Run Dry

Since my imagination has run dry with Carana's POV for now (I have not played him for a long time), I am going to take the POV to two other characters, Braylonis, the human death knight and Aimelina, Carana's older brother. Also, if you read my blog, please leave comments wherever you want.
